Her artistic journey reflects a deep and constant interest in the performative body, both in grounded practices and in aerial dimensions. Her studies in political science, her philosophical interests, and her exploration of Eastern practices shape the questions that fuel her work. This encompasses choreography, performance, curation, teaching, and creating projects that unite body, thought, and community.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/verticalwavesproject.com\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\">verticalwavesproject.com<\/a><\/p><h5><strong>What is vertical dance?<\/strong><\/h5><p>Vertical dance uses the wall as a floor, positioning the performer perpendicular to the vertical plane. It involves a new spatial orientation and requires muscles capable of supporting the spinal column&#8217;s effort. Detached from the ground, it allows for total exploration of the void, where the performer discovers new orientations and inevitably engages with the body&#8217;s weight distribution.<\/p><p>The performer wears a harness equipped with a descender, a device that anchors them to a working rope.
